Egypt and the EU are working to improve their economic relations on both bilateral and regional levels.

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and the EU Ambassador to Egypt held a virtual meeting to discuss these efforts.

They reviewed the first phase of the EU’s €1 million macro-financial assistance (MFA) and budget support program.

They discussed setting up an executive framework for the investment guarantee mechanism introduced in March.

The meeting focused on Egypt’s efforts to meet the EU’s carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) requirements for exports.
