Egypt’s economy is projected to grow 4% in FY2024/25

Egypt’s economic growth is projected to be 4% for FY 2024/2025, down from 4.35% in April and 4.15% in January.

The economy grew by 2.9% in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, missing the 3% forecast in April and the 3.5% estimate in January.

Growth is expected to rebound to 4.99% in FY 2025/2026.

The IMF has lowered its growth forecast for Egypt to 4.1% for FY 2024/2025 and 2.7% for FY 2023/2024.

The World Bank Group maintains its growth forecasts at 4.2% for FY 2024/2025 and 4.6% for FY 2025/2026.
