EU and Egypt to sign $1 billion agreement for financial support

Egypt and the European Union will sign a 1 billion euro ($1.07 billion) agreement for financial assistance.

In March, the European Union announced a 7.4 billion euro ($7.95 billion) funding package and improved relations with Egypt to reduce migrant flows to Europe.

The World Bank announced $700 million in budget support for Egypt as part of a 3-year, $6 billion program.
