French economy to collapse as Unions blocked roads and disrupted oil refineries

The truckers blocked major highway routes and slowed businesses across several French regions.
The government is bracing for the biggest disturbances as strikes are expected across multiple sectors and protests are scheduled in cities across France against the retirement bill.
The reform, which would raise the official pension age from 62 to 64 and require 43 years of work to earn a full pension, is presently under debate in parliament.
At present, it is under discussion in the conservative-led Senate; the bill is expected to be voted on by the end of the week at the upper house of parliament.
France’s civil aviation authority requested airlines to cancel 20% of flights at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport on Tuesday and 30% of flights at Orly Airport.
Trains to Germany and Spain are likely to halt, those to and from Britain will be reduced by a third, and over 60% of teachers in primary schools are expected to be on strike.
