In June, German inflation decreased more than anticipated, marking a reversal from two consecutive months of increases to reach 2.5%.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, also declined to 2.9% from May's 3.0%.

Earlier in March, inflation in Germany had dropped to 2.3%, its lowest level since June 2021.

Across the Eurozone, inflation is expected to have reached 2.5% in June, slightly down from 2.6% in the previous month.

Additionally, fewer German companies are planning to raise their prices compared to May.
