Goldman Sachs predicts up to $1 trillion investment in Saudi key sectors by 2030

Saudi Arabia is gearing up to welcome $1 trillion in initial investments across 6 vital sectors by 2030 as part of a broader effort to transform its economy through a series of reforms.

These investments are a component of the larger-scale National Investment Strategy (NIS) with a target of $3.3 trillion.

Within this framework, around $245 billion is allocated to upstream energy, while downstream energy and metals and mining will receive $100 billion and $170 billion, respectively.

The transport and logistics sector is expected to secure approximately $150 billion in investments, and another $147 billion is designated for ICT and digital transformation.

The foundation of these developments was laid with the introduction of Saudi Arabia's National Investment Strategy (NIS) in 2021, a cornerstone of the country's Vision 2030 plan for economic transformation.

It aims to promote foreign direct investment (FDI), targeting an increase to 3.4% of GDP by 2025 and 5.7% by 2030.
