Posted on October 30, 2023 |
The voluntary Real Living Wage has been increased to address the ongoing cost-of-living struggles for workers, allowing employers 6 months for implementation.
Over 460,000 employees from 14,000 compliant employers will enjoy a pay raise as a result of this adjustment.
The Living Wage Foundation disclosed that the new rates will elevate the hourly wage to £12 for regions outside London, reflecting a £1.10 raise.
Workers based in London who receive the Real Living Wage will witness a £1.20 increase, pushing their hourly wage to £13.15.
These changes aim to assist workers in dealing with the current economic challenges they face.
