Trade agreements between Australia and UAE to boost exports in 2023

Trade agreements signed by India with the UAE and Australia will help India in boosting its exports by granting access to those markets for Indian products.
India has profited from UAE’s preferential market access on over 97% of its tariff lines, which is 99% of Indian exports to the country in value terms.
The agreements were made possible due to the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) coming into effect on May 1, 2022.
India is Australia’s 6th biggest trading partner as India’s mutual trade in goods and services with Australia grew by 106.5% to $25.04 billion in FY2022-23.
Moreover, the UAE is also expected to increase the total value of bilateral trade in goods to over $100 billion and in services to over $15 billion within the next 5 years.
