UK's economy expected to grow by 2% in 2025, finance minister reveals

The finance minister predicts a 2.0% growth for Britain's economy in the coming year.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) anticipates a 1.8% increase in economic output for 2026 and a 1.5% rise for 2027.

These new projections adjust earlier expectations of 2.0% growth in 2026 and 1.8% in 2027.

The OBR revises the 2024 growth estimate to 1.1%, up from the previous 0.8% forecast.
