Abu Dhabi unveils $2 billion housing benefits package for citizens

Abu Dhabi marks UAE's 52nd Union Day with an AED7.6 billion ($2.1 billion) housing benefits announcement.

The comprehensive package supports 5,685 beneficiaries and encompasses various housing loans totaling AED6 billion.

Among the recipients, 3,714 UAE nationals benefit from housing loans, while exemptions for loan repayments are provided to low-income retirees and families of those who passed away in 2023, totaling over AED573 million for 549 Emiratis.

Additionally, the initiative includes the allocation of residential lands and ready-made houses to 1,422 UAE nationals, valued at over AED950 million, covering infrastructure costs.

In 2023, Abu Dhabi disbursed a total of AED13.44 billion in housing benefits, benefiting 9,292 UAE nationals.

This housing support initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to citizen welfare and improving housing accessibility.
