American new homes grew annually by 9.8% in February

In February 2023, in the US, new residential homes grew by 9.8% compared to January to 1.45 million units and the decline since September 2022 has stopped.

The commissioning of apartment buildings grew by 24.1% to 608 thousand units and the commissioning of private houses soared to 830 thousand units.

The number of building permits was lower than in September 2022, when the figure was 1.564 million units. For private houses, building permits grew by 7.6% to 777 thousand units, and residential units in apartment buildings by 24.3% to 700 thousand units.
