Dubai announces $1.5 billion of housing projects

Dubai has revealed $1.5 billion (AED 5.4 billion) in housing projects to build 3,004 homes for Emiratis, including 1,181 units in Latifa City under a housing loan scheme.

The projects will also provide 606 homes in Al Yalayis, 5,432 in Wadi Al Amardi, 398 in Al Awir, 1,200 in Hatta’s Makan area, 120 in Oud Al Muteena, and 67 in rural Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed has approved Dubai's 2025–27 budget, setting spending at AED 272 billion ($74 billion) and expected revenues at AED 302 billion ($82.2 billion).

Dubai plans to spend AED 86 billion ($23.4 billion) in 2025, with expected revenues of AED 98 billion ($26.7 billion), resulting in a surplus of AED 30 billion ($8.2 billion).

About one-third of the 2025 budget will focus on social development, including health, education, housing, scientific research, and family and child support.
