February sees a 4% surge in US existing-home listings, the biggest year-over-year growth

Existing home listings grew by 3.8% in February compared to the previous month.
Year-over-year, new listings saw a substantial increase of 14.8%, marking the largest gain since May 2021.
Active listings, representing the total number of homes for sale, reached their highest level in a year during February.
Median US home sale prices rose by 6.6% year-over-year in February, reaching $412,778.
This increase represents the most significant price jump since September 2022.
