Japan's housing starts fell by 1.4% in November

In November, Japan's housing starts declined unexpectedly by 1.4% year-on-year following a 1.8% drop in October, the decline is for the 2nd straight month.

The seasonally adjusted annualized housing starts dropped to 838,000 in November from 871,000 in the previous month.

The construction orders from the big 50 contractors fell by annually 9.7% in November for the first time in 8 months, after a 7.9% growth in October.
