March saw a 20.6% year-on-year growth in U.S. home prices

  • In March, home prices saw a 20.6% annual growth, after a 20.9% annual gain in February and a 19.1% annual gain in January.
  • The highest year-over-year growth in the top 20-cities in March was led by Tampa at 34.8%, Phoenix with a 32.4% increase, and Miami with a 32.0% increase. 
  • 17 of the 20 cities saw high price increases in March 2022 compared to February 2022.
  • In March, all 20 cities saw increases before and after seasonal adjustments in which before seasonal adjustment, the 10-City composite saw an increase of 2.8% and the 20-City composite saw an increase of 3.1%, and after seasonal adjustment, the 10-City and 20-City Composites experienced increases of 2.2% and 2.4%, respectively.
