Satellite images show Saudi's new megacity “The Line" becoming a reality

Saudi Arabia’s new megacity, “The Line,” construction is at full speed as satellite images revealed, the scale of the city’s length, the main base camp, and the layout of its construction site which will complete by 2030.

The main base camp is located at 28.10 degrees latitude and 35.30 degrees longitude on the western side of the Saudi Arabian peninsula.

The Line is dug into the sand of the desert, 200 feet (60 meters) wide with 425 excavation vehicles sculpting out the future city’s footprint.

Another image shows construction in the city’s western site, located at 28.15 degrees latitude and 34.68 degrees longitude with 103 excavation vehicles.

The megacity will feature a mirrored exterior that includes a completely self-contained city that is 546 yards (500 meters) tall, 218 yards (200 meters) wide, and 105 miles (170 kilometers) long.
