Saudi Arabia announces $92 billion investment for Expo 2030

Saudi Arabia is allocating $92 billion for the Expo 2030 event in Riyadh, intending to transform the city into a model of sustainability through extensive initiatives.

The Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) has successfully planted over 43 million trees and shrubs nationwide since its establishment in 2021.

Additionally, 94,000 hectares of degraded land, equivalent to 146,000 football fields, have been rehabilitated across the kingdom under the SGI umbrella.

Specifically in Riyadh's Qurtubah neighborhood, the Green Riyadh project has seen the planting of more than 92,000 trees and shrubs this year.

This initiative focuses on key locations such as schools, mosques, and government buildings.
