Saudi Arabia will have to build 1.2 million new housing units over the next decade to bring the total to 4.96 million by 2030 because housing demand is expected to increase by 54% from 99,600 houses in 2021 to 153,000 houses by 2030 with an average of 124,000 houses over the period.

The next stage of the housing program will concentrate on the most underprivileged parts of society, and increase the involvement of the private sector.
