Austria’s softwood lumber exports to the USA were over 25% lower from January to September compared to the previous year.

Exports to the top 3 destinations remained stable throughout this period.

Volume growth was seen in Japan, the Czech Republic, and Romania.

Austria increased glulam exports to Italy and Japan in the first nine months of 2024.

Austria imported about 4.5 million cubic metres of softwood logs, which is 7% less than the same period last year.
