Brazil sees year-over-year surge in wood-based product exports for June

Brazil's wood-based product exports (excluding pulp and paper) increased by 7.4% in June 2024, reaching $313.1 million, up from $291.5 million in June 2023.

Pine sawnwood exports grew by 1.9% in value to $59.7 million in June 2024, with the volume staying the same at 251,000 m³.

Tropical plywood exports remained steady in volume (2,900 m³) and value ($1.8 million) in June 2024.

Wood furniture exports fell by 2% in value to $44.5 million in June 2024, compared to $45.4 million in June 2023.

While overall wood-based product exports increased, wood furniture exports experienced a slight decrease in value.
