Brazilian exports of timber products fell annually by 19% in March

In March, Brazilian exports of timber-based products (besides pulp and paper) fell annually by 19.0% to $341.9 million in value, from $423.2 million in March 2022.

In value, exports of pine sawnwood fell by 19.0% to $50.9 million from $73.9 million in March 2022, and in volume, exports fell by 6.0%.

Tropical sawnwood exports fell by 38.0% to 27,000 m³ and in value, exports fell by 18.0% to $14.6 million in the same period.

Tropical plywood exports fell by 45.0% to 3,400 m³ and in value, by 44.0% to $1.8 million, and the value of wooden furniture exports also saw a decline of 9% to $54.4 million, in March 2023
