Brazilian exports of wood-based products fell annually by 16% in October

In October, Brazilian exports of wood-based products (except pulp and paper) fell by 16% to $313.1 million in value year-over-year compared to October 2021.
Pine sawnwood exports fell by 32% in value to US$50.4 million in October 2022 and in volume, exports fell by over 28% to 192,700 m³ during the same period.
Tropical sawnwood exports grew by 29% in volume to 36,200 m³ in October 2022, and in value, exports grew by 65% to $18.3 million over the same period.
However, tropical plywood exports dropped by 71% in volume and 77% lower in value, to 2,200 m³ and $1.6 million in October respectively.
In October, the value of wooden furniture exports fell annually by 25% to US$52.9 million.
