Brazilian exports of wood-based products fell to $430.8 million in July

  • In July, pine sawnwood exports grew by 23% in value to $90.6 million and in volume, exports grew by 7% to 305,800 m³.
  • Tropical sawnwood exports grew by 10% in volume to 45,500 m³ in the same period, and in value, exports grew by 35% to $20.3 million.
  • However, demand for pine plywood exports fell by 60.0% to $64.4 million compared to July 2021. In volume, exports also fell by 40% to 156,100 m³.
  • Tropical plywood exports declined by 20% in volume and 10% in value, falling to 5,900 m³/$3.8 million in July 2022.
