Brazilian wood-based exports rose 20% year-on-year in October

Brazil’s wood-based product exports (excluding pulp and paper) grew by 20% in October, rising from $219.9 million in 2023 to $263.6 million in 2024.

Tropical sawnwood exports increased by 5% in volume, from 20,600 m³ to 21,700 m³, but their value dropped by 4%, from $9.1 million to $8.7 million.

Tropical plywood export volumes rose by 24%, from 1,700 m³ to 2,100 m³, even though their value fell by 8%, from $1.3 million to $1.2 million.

Wooden furniture exports went up by 4%, with values increasing from $46.2 million in October 2023 to $48.2 million in October 2024.
