Canada and the US agreed to help each other mitigate forest fires with a new agreement in which both countries can share resources and expertise more efficiently.

There are several thousands of global firefighters from 9 different countries working with Canadian firefighters to mitigate wildfires across the country as over 63,000 sq km of land burned this year.

The new deal contains a list of all organizations that would cooperate, which are Parks Canada, the Canadian Forest Service, the US National Park Service, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
