Canadian lumber production & shipments saw monthly growth in August

During August, Canada increased its lumber production by 15% to 4,067.9 thousand m³ compared to the previous month.

However, when looking at the year-over-year figures, lumber production in August was down by 4.6%.

In the same month, Canadian sawmills shipped out 3,909.9 m³ of lumber, which is a noticeable 6.1% increase from the previous month.

But, when making a year-over-year comparison, lumber shipments in August saw a decrease of 12.5%.
