Canadian lumber production saw 5% growth in September

Canadian sawmills produced 3,951.2 thousand m³ of lumber in September, up 4.7% from August but 5.9% lower than September last year.

Lumber shipments reached 3,929.2 thousand m³ in September, increasing by 2.5% from August but decreasing by 1.2% compared to the same time in 2023.

Despite monthly gains, the lumber industry still faces year-over-year challenges.
