Canfor announces 2 curtailments at Fort St. John sawmill in BC

Canfor has scheduled two temporary shutdowns for its sawmill and planer operations.

The first shutdown is set for June 28th to July 15th, and the second from August 26th to September 6th.

Most employees will have time off during these periods, with only essential roles filled as necessary.

After the first shutdown, weekend shifts will resume on July 14th, weekday shifts on July 15th, and graveyard shifts on July 14th.

Following the second shutdown, weekend shifts will restart on September 9th, graveyard shifts on September 8th, and weekday shifts on September 6th.

These shutdowns are intended to adjust production schedules and address operational requirements.

Employees in the sawmill and planer production will return to work on the specified dates provided by Canfor.
