Canfor declared temporary production curtailments in BC and Alberta due to weak market conditions

Posted on December 12, 2022   |

Canfor will temporarily decline production via curtailments at all of its solid wood facilities in British Columbia and Alberta due to inadequate market conditions.

The curtailments are scheduled to begin on December 19th, and they will remove 150 million board feet of production in December and January.

Canfor will continue to modify operating rates to align with market conditions and expects that most of its BC facilities will operate below full capacity in the New Year.
