Canfor extends temporary sawmill curtailments in BC due to weak market conditions

Posted on January 9, 2023   |

Canfor Corp. expanded the temporary sawmill curtailments which were originally declared on December 5, 2022, at select solid wood facilities in British Columbia due to weak market conditions and scarcity of available economic fiber.

The production capacity will be lowered through 2-week curtailment extensions in January at those selected solid wood facilities which will remove 21 million board feet in addition to the 150 million board feet previously announced in December.
