Canfor halts operations at BC and Alberta sawmills for holidays

Canfor will temporarily halt activities at its lumber mills in BC and Alberta for 3 non-statutory days during the Christmas to New Year’s week.
This is in response to ongoing challenges in the market and a shortage of available fiber.
In addition to the holiday pause, 3 Canfor manufacturing facilities, including the one in Fort St. John, will undergo an extra week of downtime leading up to Christmas.
