Canfor to shut British Columbia (B.C.) mills for 2 weeks from September 26 due to low market demand

Posted on September 26, 2022   |

  • Canfor Corporation will temporarily reduce production capacity in BC wood facilities for 2-week from September 26, which will be followed by the resumption of reduced operating schedules.
  • The curtailment in production is due to low market demand, reducing 200 million board feet of production capacity.
  • To limit the impact on employees, the company will allow employees to work during downtime to complete maintenance projects and other site activities.
