Canfor unveils cutting-edge sawmill in Axis, AL

Canfor Southern Pine celebrated the opening of its $210 million sawmill in Axis, Alabama.
The new facility can produce 250 million board feet of lumber each year.
It features a biomass-powered drying system to cut emissions and promote sustainability.
The sawmill will provide 130 jobs when fully operational.
Canfor revealed plans for the project in July 2022.
