China imported 30% of logs of softwood lumber from Europe in 2021

- In the first 9 months of 2021, 80% of all imported logs came from New Zealand, Europe, and Latin America.
- Shipments from Europe reached 14 million m3 of softwood logs in the whole of 2021.
- Europe's share of the total import volume is 30% in which Germany is the 2nd largest supplier to China after New Zealand.
- German shipments soared from 200,000 m3 of logs in 2018 to 3.8 million m3 in 2019 and may reach over 10 million m3 in 2021.
