Finland's forest sector exports fell by 16% in June 2023

In June 2023, Finland's forest exports fell by 16% to 0.97 billion euros compared to the 2022 monthly average.

Wood imports in June were 0.35 million m³, down nearly 25% from the previous year's average.

Pulpwood comprised 74% of the imports, chips 15%, logs 2%, and firewood 6%, with 3% as wood by-products.

Wood imports for H1 2023 grew by 7% to 2.9 million m³, with significant growth in pine pulpwood imports, surpassing the previous year by over 300 thousand m³.
