Finland's investment in forestry and forest management fell by 17% in 2021 due to high inflation

In 2021, the total investment in forestry and forest management in the country fell by 17% to 243 million euros compared to the previous year due to high inflation.

80% of the investment costs were directed to forestry work, and the rest of the funds were to improve forests. 

Forest improvement contains fertilization, maintenance of the ditch network, and necessary improvement and construction of forest roads.
