Georgia-Pacific invested $120 million in a new Pineland lumber mill

Georgia-Pacific invested $120 million in Pineland Lumber in Texas, making it the biggest sawmill in the South.

In light of improvements and new technology, Pineland Lumber has become a big competitor in the forest products industry, which has allowed the facility to assist Georgia-Pacific's partners in the industry.

Pineland Lumber is one of 12 sawmills Georgia-Pacific operates. This facility produces many wood products and contributes to the local economy through jobs and community support.

The modified log yard and the use of wheel loaders, which can unload a truck in 1 compared to 2, will increase the mill’s truck traffic from 250 to 300 every day.

As a result, Pineland Lumber will manufacture 450 million board feet of lumber annually, which is essential to building 30,000 houses.
