Government permits renewal of Tolko Industry’s forest management area

  • Alberta’s rural government approves the renewal of the Tolko Industry’s 272,441-acre forest management area near High Prairie.
  • The renewal will allow Tolko to harvest Crown timber from the forest management area for the next 20 years.
  •  The renewal will contribute $3.6 million in holding and protection charge payments, $29.7 million in timber dues, and over $864 million in  Alberta's GDP.
