Hampton Lumber announces 5-week shutdown at Fort St. James sawmill
Posted on August 1, 2024 |
Hampton Lumber's Fort St. James, BC mill will pause operations for 5 weeks due to a shortage of logs.
The log yard, kilns, planer, and shipping will remain operational.
Hampton Lumber bought the sawmill from Conifex in 2019.
Last April, the mill shipped its first load of lumber while other mills in the area were closing.
