Irish timber prices remain stable in Q2 2024

Timber prices showed stability throughout the second quarter of the year, according to the Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) forestry timber market survey.

The survey by IFA indicates that prices for all timber products remained largely unchanged compared to the first quarter.

Pulpwood prices ranged from €36 to €40 per ton.

Stalkwood prices varied between €42 and €52 per ton.

Pallet wood prices ranged from €48 to €66 per ton, depending on the length produced.

Sawlog prices were reported between €88 and €100 per ton.

Prices quoted in the IFA Timber Price Survey were sourced from forest owners, forestry companies, and sawmills.
