Irving Forest Products finalizes deal to purchase Masardis sawmill in Maine

Irving Forest Products will purchase the Masardis Sawmill in Maine, with the deal closing on January 5.
Previously owned by Groupe Lebel, the sawmill produces spruce and fir lumber and employs 80 people.
The facility has an annual production capacity of 115 million board feet and is located near Irving’s 1.3 million acres of timberland in Maine.
With this acquisition, J.D. Irving will operate 10 sawmills under its solid wood division.
The combined output of J.D. Irving’s sawmills will reach 1.3 billion board feet annually.
This purchase enhances Irving Forest Products' presence in Maine and expands its production capabilities.
