January sees a boost in Canadian lumber production and shipments

In January, Canadian lumber production saw a notable increase of 16.4% month-over-month, reaching 3,996.3 thousand cubic meters.
Compared to the previous year, production levels were up by 4.9%.
Sawmills shipped 3,893.4 thousand cubic meters of lumber in January, showing an 11.2% increase from December 2023 and a 5.7% rise from January 2023.
