June saw a 22% increase in Brazilian exports of wood-based products

- In June, Brazilian exports of wood-based products (except pulp and paper) grew by 22% to $483.5 million compared to June 2021.
- In June, Pine sawnwood exports grew by 14% to $75.8 million compared to June 2021 but in volume, exports fell by 5% to 264,700 m³.
- Tropical sawnwood exports grew by 41% in volume to 56,300 m³ and in value, exports grew by 91% to $26.9 million over the same period.
- Demand for Pine plywood exports fell by 29.9% to $97.0 million compared to June 2021 and in volume, exports also fell by 7.50% to 221,800 m³.
- Tropical plywood exports grew by 3.8% in volume and 25.0% in value to 5,500 m³, or US$3.5 million, and wooden furniture export earnings dropped by 5.0% to $59.3 million.
