Maine government resolves timber harvesting violations in the coastal area
Posted on March 7, 2022 |
- The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry entered the agreement with Charles Love and Southern Maine Forestry Services of Windham to revegetate a shoreland area where the violations occurred.
- The forester must pay a $2,000 civil penalty as the violation arose from logging activities in Bowdoinham that created a cleared opening too close to a freshwater wetland and removed too many trees.
