MARAD grants a $241 million financial packages for US ports

  • The United States Maritime Administration (MARAD), an agency of the US Department of Transportation allocated over $241 million for 25 projects to improve port facilities in 19 states and 1 territory.
  • The grant is through MARAD's Port Infrastructure Development Programme (PIDP) which already granted $492 million for 32 projects in its initial 2 years.
