May sees 2% decline in Canadian lumber output

In May, Canadian lumber production dropped by 1.8% from the previous month to 4,475.1 thousand m³ but was still up 9.1% compared to the same time last year.

Canadian sawmills shipped 4,531.9 thousand cubic meters of lumber in May, a 7.7% increase from April.

Compared to a year ago, May's lumber shipments from Canadian sawmills were up by 6.9%.
