Norra Timber is investing $14.12 million to modernize Hissmofors Sawmill through a 3-phase upgrade.

They’ve started by updating post-saw processing, adding efficient machinery worth $3.76 million, which raises output by 10,000 cubic meters per year.

Next, $9.41 million will go into saw line improvements over two stages.

The aim is to boost production from 170,000 to 200,000 cubic meters within two years.

The sawmill processes spruce and pine for local and global markets.

Wood chippings are used to make dust-free bedding for agricultural use.
