Posted on February 16, 2022 |
- The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) released Decree 110.
- The quarantine requirements on pine wood imported from countries with the occurrence of pinewood nematodes generate more cost and create new challenges for the U.S. export of logs and lumber to China.
- The Decree updates conditions for importing pine products including guidelines for sampling and treatment before export, phytosanitary certificate, port of entry quarantine, and specified ports for obtaining pinewood imports.
- The requirements came on February 1, 2022, and all U.S. pine logs and lumber will need to comply before being allowed entry into China.
