Russian exports of timber products halved by 48.6% in 2022

In 2022, Russian exports of timber products halved by 48.6% to 9.9 million tons and transportation of timber by rail, including containers fell by 22% to 39.5 million tons compared to last year.

In the Northwest, many timber merchants faced serious barriers and as a result, timber products went to the south and east, and loading to the Far East grew by 7.4% over the year to 7.96 million tons.
