Södra raised timber prices to strengthen Swedish forest estates

Posted on October 23, 2024   |

Södra raised prices for saw logs and small-diameter timber on October 21st to boost profits for forest owners.

The price for spruce saw logs increased by SEK 100/m3sub, while pine saw logs went up by SEK 70/m3sub.

Small-diameter timber and saw logs also saw a price rise of SEK 70/m3sub.

Södra introduced a "highest price 60 days" guarantee, ensuring forest owners receive any price increase within 60 days of signing an agreement.

This guarantee applies to harvesting contracts, covering saw logs, small-diameter timber, and both softwood and hardwood pulpwood.

Södra launched new tools to support family-owned forests, address high market demand, and increase price fluctuations.
